Gabriel’s passage for June 6-12, 2016: the magic of triumph is getting close

This week prepares us for the new life that is pending.
Some transformations are a leap, some are, on the contrary, gradual – a lot of small steps build up to pave the way for something new. But just before the new arrives, there comes a small moment of stagnation, during which we recede into our shell and let our experience change us internally. It’s as when the caterpillar creates a cocoon, then spends some time in that cocoon (“shell”) to emerge as a butterfly in the end.
The fact that nothing obvious happens does not mean that we do not mature on the inside, below the surface. Despite this the time we spend in our shell may be full of regret, doubt and uncertainty. What we were is coming to an end. What we shall be has not emerged yet. And all we can do is to hold on.
A new world is waiting for us – one we shall see through new eyes. We should not try and imagine things today; we have still got our old eyes and these old eyes are not destined to perceive the beauty of the new. We should not stick to our past ideas just because they feel safe. Besides these old ideas, we know something new as well – it is buried deep in us and now it gradually starts to surface.
